Shoes R US

It seems that every day Maddie & Aidan are accomplishing something new. They have given up baby food for the most part in favor of big people table food. There were a few tough weeks where I feared a bout of anorexia for Maddie (perhaps I am a bit paranoid), but now they are both eating up a storm. I am at the grocery store 4 to 5 times a week because I am constantly caught off guard by the amount of food they eat.

These days our little ones are cruising along the furniture like their pants are on fire. I can imagine it is only a matter of weeks before they are full fledged walking!! So this weekend we took a family trip to Stride Rite for their first pair of pre-walker walking shoes (huh?). As a side note - someone please explain WHY those itty bitty shoes cost us $65 (and that is with a buy one get one 1/2 off sale). AND we're going to need new ones come November/December when they are considered official walkers. Okay, enough about that.

M&A were extremely well behaved while having their feet measured. Unfortunately we couldn't buy them matching sheos because Aidan has an extra wide foot and they didn't have our original choice in stock in XL wide mega foot. But both look adorable in their shoes and we've passed yet another milestone in this crazy journey :)

A bit like clown shoes, but cute nonetheless:

Nobody said we were fashion plates around here:
