Balloon Party

How to keep 2 toddlers entertained and out of trouble during these l-o-n-g winter days? Well throw a balloon party of course! Bubbles, maracas, ribbons and scarves are all acceptable substitutes for balloons. The only non-negotiable is music - we love to dance!!




This is what we call "man down". Seconds later she said (in her sweet little voice); "It's okay mommy, I fine.

Post balloon party hair can be a bit wild (pesky static)...

Spring is just around the corner, right? We're going stir crazy!!!

We're still here...

Wow, my blogging hiatus was alot longer than I realized! Things have been a bit hectic lately with getting 2 year molars (ouch), asserting our new found independence and the TERRIBLE TWOS. Most days I feel so worn out by the time we put the kids to bed that the last thing on my mind is updating this blog. But in my effort to keep a reasonably frequent record of the kids adventures, I'm back :-)

Here's what we've been up to...


A newfound love for snowballs

Especially smashing them on the ground and stomping on them

Mastering the mountain of snow the plow guys kindly place in front of our house

"Timeout" is mommy's new favorite word (as you can see Maddie isn't the least bit phased by the punishment)

Honing our lock picking skills

Throwing tantrums and scaling the gate at the top of the stairs while screaming "WATCH MICKEY MOUSE" at the top of our lungs over and over

Enjoying the train table Santa brought us

Wearing Daddy's clothes

Dancing with the ribbons Mommy made for us

And just all around enjoying ourselves!! Time really is going by so quickly and I promise to not let such a long time go between blogs again. Now if somebody could just promise to make Maddie & Aidan decide to nap again...
